| 2011-2012 Andress High School will be offering the following course Principles of Law, Public Safety, Corrections, and Security (One-half to One Credit) which is also known as LPSCS. |
| Grading: Journals 20% Class Assignments 20% Exams 20% Final Exam 10% Homework 15% Projects 15% |
| Absent Class Policy: Student is required to ask for all assignments that were due that day student was out. The student is required to proof that absent is excused. Student only has only three days turn in the assignments from the day he or she was absent. |
| Code of Conduct (Classroom Rules) As a member of this class the student will 1) Show respect to himself or herself, others, and the classroom. Examples: • Will be Prompt • Will be Polite • Will not use ‘put downs’ or harass others • Will respect other people’s differences and opinions • Will positively participate in all classroom activities • Will stay on task without disturbing or distracting others • Will not steal from others 2) Be prepared and give my best effort. Examples: • Be Prepared • Will complete all assignments on time 3) Do nothing to keep the teacher from teaching and anyone, myself included, from learning. Examples: • Will raise my hand to speak • Will actively listen when the teacher is speaking 4) Will not use any electronic equipment. |

| Material Required: Student will need have a 70 page college wide notebook. This notebook will remain in the classroom. Most of the notes and assignments throughout the school year will be entered in this tool. Student is to have a usable black or blue pen. |
| Failure to Follow these Rules: 1. Verbal Student Warning 2. Change of Seats (if it because of talking with others) 3. Talking electronic equipment (if student is breaking rule 4) 4. Detention after school on Tuesday or Wednesday 5. Student Referral and Detention |
| If student need extra help. Student will be allowed stay after school on Wednesday and Thursdays to make up any work needed. |
